Pet Blessings of the Week

I've found a few blogs, articles, photos, and announcements that you might find of interest.

Although Blessing of the Animals events are celebrated throughout the year, October 4th and the weeks surrounding it are traditionally the times where you find a bunch of events.

Check these out:

  • Forces with three Calm christian music climbers to forge ahead. - Nine year old Lauren Rae left and her sister Courtney Rae,, both of Carleton, brought a chicken named Julia and a rabbit named Cloudy to the Blessing of the Animals ceremony held Sunday at Milan’s Nature Park.

  • Blessing of the Animals and Vegetarian Sunday - You're invited - First Church Somerville will have a service for the Blessing of the Animals this Sunday at 10:00 AM, in the front yard. Afterwards, we're having a vegetarian potluck. Bring your animals, real, stuffed or photographed.

  • The Village Fête - Manon - This morning, the animals gathered in the village square - around the old elm tree that was planted in 1713. The priests walked down from the church for the Blessing of the Animals.
